Phone tells you that someone has called. posted by RJ Jul 24, 2007

I just noticed something really useful on my cell phone. If you click the All Calls option on the phone, you'll see a list of recent outgoing, incoming, and missed calls. The phone doesn't just keep track of calls you've sent, but also calls you've received. It even tells you who called, displaying their name if they're in your phone book or just their number if they're not, and whether or not you missed their call.

That’s just plain thoughtful! I just love stuff like that. The little details that make you go “Ah ha!”

I didn't recognize the latest number, so I called the number and found out that it was someone I know.

It is a great feature, but it’s not new. My two-year old Sprint Motorola Cingular Samsung Blackberry phone had it, too. Only the Samsung’s impementation was better—it called people on the list randomly whenever I took off my pants with my Bluetooth headset in my pocket. That's what led to my divorce.

The iPhone kind of burries the info away. Did I say burries? I was thinking about furries. I have a fetish.

But yes, it’s a great feature.

it is so way cool. read your article, then found out that my phone has this feature, too!!! never used until now. Crazy. Keep going with such hidden features! I want to learn more secrets like that.

wow, your phone looks really ugly.

yikes.

at least it has killer features like this. :P

I don't get the parody... you're making fun of someone who noticed a neat little feature on their iPhone, by pretending that it's the same as finding a feature on your crappy phone, one that every phone since 1992 has had?

clever?

really, how is that clever? at least put a LITTLE effort into your "parodies"

>really, how is that clever? at least
>put a LITTLE effort into your
>"parodies"

Ha! Priceless! Your satire of a softheaded little bitch is spot-on. Well done!

This isn't actually a parody post - I'm really am excited about this feature.

Maybe you could put more effort into your comments?

huh, i've never had a phone that was missing this feature.

I got an iPhone the other day and noticed that it has all of these cool iPhone features that you can use just by tapping the screen on the iPhone. Now I take my iPhone everywhere with me in case someone calls me on my iPhone or I need to use my iPhone for some of its cool iPhone features. I'm so lucky to be fortunate enough to have an iPhone -- I feel bad for all of you iPhone-less people.

Are you serious?
This has been standard functionality on phones for... a long long time.
